GE Intern Opportunity-SH-Test Engineer

1. Basic Info.

Frequency: at least 3 days
Duration: 3-6 months

2. Responsibilities/Job Roles
"· Execute test sweeps (Manual and Smoke) for functional and system leve
l verification of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Fieldbus prot
ocol and IO modules.
. Report issues and work with Product Development Teams to verify re
solution of problems found.
· Interpret diagrams, specifications and applications for setup test
platforms and test fixture.
· Use structured software design techniques to develop and execute c
ontrol programs for verification of new and existing products.
. Develop Test tool for HP IO Libraries used in iPAT2 test framework.
. Develop Test tool for profinet testing used in iPAT2 test framework."

3. Qualifications/Requirements
"· Major in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Commu
nication or equivalent.
· Experience/knowledge in PCs, Windows/MS-DOS operating systems and p
rogramming languages.
· Experience/knowledge in testing software or application systems.
· A strong team player with demonstrated commitment to process impr
ovement.
· Growth capabilities for more responsible test, hardware, software,
firmware or application development positions.

4. Desired Requirements:
". Familiar with Python and Ladder diagram programming will be a plus.
. Experience/knowledge in Siemens Step7 or GE IP PME Ladder diagram programmin
g.
· Experience/Knowledge in Andriod OS programming is a plus.
. Experience in Agilent instruments (Switch, Wave Generator, Multimeter) usage
.
. Familiar with Robot / fitnesse / cucumber frameworks will be a plus."
