比较与对比法
比较(comparison)是分析不同的人、物、地点或观点之间的相同之处，对比(contrast)是分析它们之间的差异。例如Reading Selectively or Extensively? (1999.6 CET-4 & CET-6 )一文的第2 - 3段就对比了读书要有选择和博览群书这两种观点和看法：
Some people say that we should read selectively. They believe that it is not how much one reads but what he reads that really counts....
However, others claim that reading extensively is a better choice. In their opinions, different books are of different uses....
再如 My View on Job-Hopping (1997.6 & CET-6)一文的第1 - 2段也采用了对比法，比较了喜欢从事一种工作和喜欢经常更换工作这两种人的观点：
Some people tend to stick to their jobs all their lives. For example, some have been teachers all their lives, and some devote all their energies to scientific research that they like. In their views, the longer one works in a particular field....
On the contrary, others would like to change jobs constantly.... For them, there is no better than to meet more people, make more money and get more experience, so they often change their jobs.
