Labor Day,International Workers’ Day is the commemoration of the Haymarket Massacre in Chicago in 1886, 216 thousand of workers participated the general strike for the eight hour day, after they win this, May Day will be a holiday for the workers, and different countries have their own way to celebrate.
After the foundation of new China, China government set 1st of May is the public holiday since year 1949, every city will have one day free on this day. On every Labor Day, people in every city celebrate it as the festival, people wear new clothes, gather together to participate activities in the park, theatre, and square. Also we award those workers who have outstanding contributions.
Nowadays in China, Labors’ Day means the long vocation, people will gather with familiar members and friends, travel together, or just relax in the holiday.
