　　Happy is a man who has acquired the habit of reading in spare time. Books instruct and entertain you. By keeping company with them， you will never feel lonely and dull. You see all kinds of characters moving and　 acting one the pages， and you hear all kinds of counsels. Reading books， you learn and accumulate knowledge， and gradually become wise and intelligent. In addition， your vocabulary enlarged and your writing ability improved.

　　Books cover a vast number of subjects. So it is essential for you to choose good and suitable books to read. There are serious books such as textbooks， which impart solid knowledge. There are light books such as novels， which divert and relax the reader. But， whatever books you choose， they must be sound and healthy. In no way should you lay your hands on salacious and low interest ones， for they may contaminate your mind and lead you astray.
