职位一：IT Intern
VMware is seeking a talented intern to join our Technical Operations (TechOps) team, which provides engineering support service (ESS) to R&D staffers. You will be responsible for assisting the ESS service, which includes asset management, technical support, documentation, and process monitoring. You will become part of the team to support all QA engineers and developers in Beijing offices to resolve their technical issues. Here are the detail responsibilities and requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in asset and inventory management
- Assist and track new hire hardware handout
- Follow up and record TechOps order delivery
- Coordinate loaner equipments
- Install standard image for laptop or desktop
- Coordinate Dell technical support in responding to desktop hardware issue

Requirements:
- Majoring in IT/IS Management, or Business Administration, or related
- Graduate student, first year or second year; good remarks in college years (before graduate school)
- Able to work at least 4 days a week for a six month period or longer
- Good communication ability in mandarin and English
- Able to work within team environment
- Fundamental knowledge of Windows Operating Systems (2000, XP, Vista, Windows 7); able to install and configure an operating system and its hardware
- Understand PC hardware and its peripherals (memory, hard disk, storage, USB, KVM, etc)
- Proficiency in using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

- 6 month internship with Zimbra China Team
- Work on Zimbra zimlet development
- Assit the manager with the China R&D site work

Requirements:

- Strong web development experience using Java/Javascript/JSP/HTML/CSS
- Experience with Linux System administration experience
- Good communication skill and people skill, fluent with written and oral English
- Familiar with email related messaging software, such as ZCS, Postfix and Exchange
- Computer related major, Master preferred.
- Highly desired if the candidate has the strong CSS experience.


职位三： QE Intern
VMware is seeking talented Computer Science or Computer Engineering interns to join our ESX QA team. As one of our R&D Engineers, you will be responsible for testing the delivery of our enterprise product set (ESX,ESXi). This includes test design, test development, test execution and test automation. You will work closely with other developers and help ship products of very high quality.

Responsibilities:
- Perform testing on VMware Flagship Virtual Infrastructure products
- Write and update test documents and test cases
- Enhance and create QA Automation test scripts and configurations based on project needs, execute automated test and analyze test results
- Develop tools for the QA team

Requirements:
- Majoring in Computer Science or related is required
- Able to work full-time for 6 months or longer
- Linux/Unix and Windows environments and OS knowledge
- Working knowledge and hands-on coding experience in one or more of the following programming: Perl, Shell script, Java
- Understanding of PC peripherals (storage, USB, etc)
- Networking knowledge
- Good troubleshooting and debugging skills to find the root cause
- Excellent written and verbal English communications and organization skills
- Experience with SilkTest and/or Python is a big plus
- Experience with industrial tool writing is a big plus
- Knowledge of software QA methodology is a big plus
- Knowledge of software life-cycle is a plus
- Networking configuration/setup hands-on experience is a plus

VMware is seeking talented Computer Science or Computer Engineering interns to join our Beijing Aurora team. Your duties will include:

- Investigating the current state of the art in SaaS and enabling developer agility
- Design and develop prototype developer and tool integrations between databases and Web 2.0 frameworks

Requirements
- Masters or PhD Candidate in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- Hands-on experience with Java
- Able to work for 6 months or longer
- Must have solid experience and knowledge in database application programming
- Experience with Database and Database applications
- Experience with at least one of the common Web 2.0 frameworks (ruby on rails, grails, jango, spring, etc)
- Self starter and motivated learner
- Excellent written and verbal English communications and organization skills
