Effects of TV Programs
TV programs influence almost every part of our lives. Whether a news program or TV series, the information we receive plays a major role in our daily life. Besides, some popular social programs, such as “Where are we going? Dad”, bring positive energy to viewers.
On contrary, viewers are influenced by the negative impact of TV violence through crime news, war and violent TV shows. It has been stated that repeated exposure to acts of violence leads to an increase in aggressive and violent behaviors.
Nowadays, TV viewers can choose from hundreds of programs on their full-color, high-definition, big-screen TV sets. There is no question that TV programs are significant sources of entertainment and education. Furthermore, TV programs give people opportunities to see other countries and learn about different cultures. But watching too much TV may lead to numerous health problems including obesity and weak eyesight. Therefore, viewers should limit the hours spent on TV programs and make a choice among various TV programs to avoid the negative effects.
