The Department of Genomics at the Life & Brain Center, University of Bonn, invites application for a postdoctoral position in bioinformatics.
The primary focus of our Department is on gene identification in complex diseases using high through-put technology. Ongoing projects include genomewide association studies in a variety of diseases including psychiatric and dermatological disorders. We offer an excellent multidisciplinary team-oriented research environment and opportunities. They are further enhanced by extensive collaboration with the Institute for Medical Biometry, Informatics and Epidemiology (University of Bonn) as well as leading national and international research institutions.
We are looking for a dedicated scholar (PhD or MD), keen to integrate knowledge in modern biology, genomic technologies and biostatistics in a high through-put genotyping environment, and to pursue cutting edge research. Advanced computer skills (knowledge of programming languages and experience with databases) are of advantage. The position starts August 1 2008 or later and is for a period of 3 years (till July 31 2011).
